ANNUAL SUMMER OUTING 10-12 JUNE 2016 – Kilkenny
All members should travel by coach from Cork on Friday 10th June, returning Sunday evening, 12th June. A number of sites will be visited on way to Kilkenny. Lunch at Dovehill Design Centre. Sites will include Ahenny high crosses, Castlecomer mining museum, Dunmore cave, Castle Durrow House, Ballymoon Castle, Kilkenny city including the castle and cathedral, Jerpoint Abbey and others.

A walking tour of sites of religious significance on the south side of the city (Flor Hurley and Margaret Lantry). Assemble in front of St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral. Walk to include around St Fin Barre’s Cathedral, St Finbarr’s (South Chapel) and the sites of various, now disappeared, religious foundations in this old area of the city.
