A Zoom Lecture on ‘The buildings of Georgian Cork 1714-1830 – city and county’ by Frank Keohane.

A native of Cork City, Frank Keohane is a Chartered Building Surveyor with an independent practice specialising in the repair and refurbishment of historic buildings. Previously a conservation advisor with Dublin Civic Trust, he completed a Masters in Urban and Building Conservation in UCD in 2002 before working for ten years with Paul Arnold Architects.
He is the author of  Irish Period Houses: A Conservation Guidance Manual published by Dublin Civic trust in 2016 and The Buildings of Ireland: Cork City and County published by Yale University Press in 2020.

A CHAS Zoom Lecture: ‘To Hell and Back: Ghosts and Perceptions of the Afterlife from Medieval Cork’ by Br. Colmán Ó Clabaigh O.S.B.

Br Colmán Ó Clabaigh O.S.B is a Benedictine monk of Glenstal Abbey, and a specialist in the history of monasticism and religion in Late Medieval Ireland. His doctoral research was published as The Franciscans in Ireland, 1400–1534: from Reform to Reformation (Dublin: Four Courts Press, 2002). His monograph The Friars in Ireland, 1224-1500 (Dublin: Four Courts Press, 2012) was awarded the 2013 National University of Ireland Prize for Irish Historical Research.
He has lectured and taught courses for institutions and organizations in Ireland, Great Britain, Italy and Nigeria and the US. He has been Visiting Professor at the School of Theology, St. John’s University, Minnesota, and also a Burns Visiting Scholar in Boston College.
